“garden stones”

By Sharon Lia Robinson

garden stones
when I hold you
do you ever think of me

you of this earth
that gives
with a scorching scar
to finally heal us

+

stones
tonight we are
finally together again
at last after being sequestered

the hidden gift
of your internal grace
beside me once again

silence of your touch
beside me
this unexpected vibrancy
a gift of birthright

hour of unspoken awareness
in praise of a new
yet ancient language
